What is Shuttle Music Player?

Shuttle music player is an open source music player which is made for the satisfaction of music lovers. It aims to be a one stop shop for anything that has to do with managing and listening to your music. The developer has done and is still doing everything that he can to make the best of the music player. However, the application also has a lot of rich features. The Shuttle music application comes in two versions which are the Shuttle free and the Shuttle+ versions. The Shuttle free version is Ad free, has a sleep timer, and a gapless playback. Meanwhile, the Shuttle+ version is also Ad free, and also has a sleep timer and a gapless playback, but has additional features like extra themes, folder browsing, tag editing and chromecast support which the users have to pay $2.49 for.
How I got to know of the Shuttle Music Player
I am that kind of person that often surf the internet looking out for open source applications in order to test them and see what their developers are up to. After I found the app's repository on Github, I successfully downloaded the free version of the app and safely installed it on my Android device. After the installation, no settings was required for me to start using the app; all I had to do was to click on any music of my choice. I never expected all I saw. At first, it was the modernistic design that caught my eye. Then I had to start exploring such a good-looking music application.
Features of the music application
- Sleep timer: All I have been seeing in music applications are play/pause. Honestly, I have never seen any music application that has a sleep timer feature. Even if there was any, I guess it wouldn't be free. Both the Shuttle free and the Shuttle+ versions offers this feature for free. With this feature, users can set the music application to automatically stop playing on its own; you can set the app to stop at any time you want. It is a rare feature and one of the features that makes Shuttle unique.
- Equalizer: The Shuttle music player application comes with an inbuilt equalizer. The developer had added this feature for users to be able to fine-tune their music to their very own taste. Not all music player application have an equalizer, some may even ask you to pay for it but that's not the case for Shuttle. Shuttle provides its users with a free, fair and developed inbuilt equalizer which is available in both the free and paid versions of the application.
- Settings: Clicking on the settings feature, they are 8 options which are for optimization. They include display, themes, artwork, playback, headser/bluetooth, scrobbling, white/black list and an option that aids users to upgrade to the Shuttle+ version.
For the other features like the

- Folder browsing
- Tag editing
- Chromecast support
I can't really tell what they are like because I haven't upgraded to the + version of the app yet. However, looking at all the rich features which are offered for free in the free version, I can tell that the features in the + version is worth paying for.
How to get started with the Shuttle Music Player application
- Download either the Shuttle free or Shuttle+ latest version (version 2.0.10)
- Safely install the application
- Lunch the application
- Click on your favorite music and start listening.

You may get a refund through the Play Store by uninstalling the app in the 15 minute refund window. If you’ve had it for longer than that and you’re still not happy, send me an e-mail along with your order number and I’ll happily refund you.
Latest Update (version 2.0.10)
On the 27th of February 2019, Shuttle was updated. An Issue which prevented Last.FM artwork from downloading and another issue where current song/queue position was disordered after turning shuffle on were both solved.

Conclusion
Shuttle music player application is absolutely one of a kind. Since I downloaded it, I've been thinking of making it my permanent and preferred music player.

I also wanted to read a bit more about your personal experience of using the features described in your review. Regardless, the post is editorial, and contains useful information about the project.
