School Portal Management System is a software that is designed to provide improved educational solution using ICT. It enables secondary schools(high schools), nursery and primary schools to manage their academic activities online which include:

1. Academic result management: Automatically calculate students results and grade them in both subject basis and class basis.
2. Enables students to be able to check results online from any part of the world provided they have access to check the result.
3. Reduces the excess paper works in our current academic system thereby alleviating teachers from excess stress that is accompanied with the paper works.
4. Ensures easy gathering of student information as everything will be accessed using students
   unique registration number which is automatically assigned by the software.
5. Checked results can be printed online with a seal of authenticity.

Technical Overview:
The software was built using PHP(open source), Bootstrap3 for mobile compatibilty and it runs on MySQL database.

When you click on the portal drop down menu at the navigation bar, it will redirect you to the following Login Authentication page:
For Admin
Username: [email protected]
Password: password
While students are to login with their unique registration numbers and passwords.

After a successful login, it will redirect to either the admin dashboard or student dashboard.

I came up with the idea to build this software because my aunt is a teacher and I have seen the stress teachers undergo in the computation of results. It is so stressful and yet they are been paid peanuts as salary, but with this software, teacher don't have to stress themselves that much as the result upload page only has three columns to input score.

Please note: When you download the folder, I have extracted the database for the software and it is in the sql folder of the project. check the connection.php to edit it because my sql localhost and yours will not be using the same username and password.
