For having communication for this task request, I posted my design in the comments section in the task request and had my proposal approved for posting which could be found here.
Details
Steemg is an open source website with an online collection and analysis tools for steem activities and contests. It began in September 2017 and has received more than 2000 submitted articles.
It also helps users to find steemit articles much faster than searching it in your web browser since it gives unsatisfactory results. This is the main reason why Steemg was created.
Mockups
Benefits / Improvements
- My design is clean and minimalistic.
- It follows the requirements set by the task request.
- The combination of the letters S and G is done in a unique manner and is purely a product of my own creativity.
- Different color variations provided to make it work with black and white backgrounds.
- Steem color scheme is used so that it is not a bit off from the main colors of the website as requested by the project owner.

In creating my work, I mainly used Adobe Illustrator CC 2015 for making the design as it produces vector outputs and not pixel based like Adobe Photoshop. I only used Adobe Photoshop CC 2017 for the mockups and making the whole presentation.

Thank you for the contribution. It seems your icon not centered with hexagon. Also, in my opinion it is too hard to understand S and G letters on your icon.
