RE: IdeaHub: The one way to build a concrete open source community!

What is the actual goal? Will Utopian find people to implement the ideas discussed at the IdeaHub?

I don't think their goal is finding people to implement it for the guests, but just to give the guests a platform to find people that could be willing to implement their idea (if they think it's a good idea, obviously).

You said it all. :D

Thanks for the reply. I had some hopes that Utopian worked on tools and processes for those ideators to pin their ideas for people to easily find and engage with. Utopian could revise their suggestions category and expand, make it more sophisticated as in the past when so called sub-projects category existed.

That was a great idea for people to express their needs and wishes. It could become the conception phase of projects, which often requires quite a lot of work as well. Lately I could see many simplistic ideas floating around.

On the other hand, this show has a potential to increase the visibility of projects and contributors. Moreover, it could serve as an extension to the concept of task requests. However, if Utopian will not have any overview of the results, I'd say it will become a disadvantage of this show.

I sincerely appreciate your kind feedback. Thank you!

However, if Utopian will not have any overview of the results, I'd say it will become a disadvantage of this show.

Of course, we will have an overview of the results after each show. From this, we will see what is lagging and we will try to fix them as soon as we can.
