Fuengirola, Malaga, Spain
Fuengirola is a town and municipality in the province of Malaga, in Andalusia, Spain.
It is about 15 minutes on the train from Benalmadena, and it is the last train station on the Malaga line. It is also the next station and next town from Los Boliches. As such, the buildings and the beach front seemed like a continuation from Los Boliches. And as with all the other towns on the Costa del Sol, they depend on tourists arrivals in the summer months.

From the train station it’s about 5 minutes walk to the Central Church in the Plaza de la Constitucion. And from there, it’s about 3 minutes walk to the beach. All very convenient.
The Central Church
An installation in front of the church.
Street leading to the beach.
On the way to the beach, on both sides of the streets are shops, restaurants and cafes. It's siesta time, so the restaurants are either quiet, or closed.
The beach front.
The promenade.
Hotels and apartments. The designs are quite similar to those in Los Bosliches – big and squarish. And on the ground level of these apartments are shops and restaurants.
This is a castle – a real castle from the medieval time, but only the remains. And no, I didn’t go up to have a look – at the remains of a castle.
