Over the last few weeks I have been examining many various situations on steemit and have written several posts that have been helpful. At least some people have said they benefited from my content. I'm thankful for those people who follow me and even who maybe don't follow me but check in from time to time to see what I'm writing about next.

Three issues have been brought to my attention. Each one has multiple sides or facts that can be argued multiple ways. The bad news is that the one main issue is so polarizing it appears that some people have went to the extent to down vote or deliberately not upvote content even when it was worthy when the writer upvotes their own content including posts, comments, etc. Alot of people read my post about My Five Favorite Up Vote Bots. Some peopleare so anti supporting your own content that the don't even like it when you buy a few up votes from a bot. They think that doing this somehow Cheating the System

One way to get around this stigma is to use Proxy Upvotes.

Let me explain exactly what I mean by Proxy UpVotes and why you need to start using them. Many people that are making a large amount of money on steemit figured out a few things early on that they do not want to share with anyone. Some paid larger players to upvote, follow, comment,upvote comments, create alternative accounts and delegate steem power to these accounts and then up vote their own posts and comments to make money and cheat the system. Not only does this trick the system it also creates a social media contagion. People start seeing all of these up votes and comments and they want in on that for sure. They get paid a curation fee to get in on that. Plus it has to be good content if so many people are liking it right?

So the system was designed this way. No one says anything to the guy who figured out the system and made a ton of money. However, if you even think about clicking the upvote button or buying some upvotes and doing the same thing the bigs guys are doing but on a much, much smaller scale people are like, HOW DARE YOU!

Not too long ago I came across several posts in the introduce thyself area of steemit. Some of these people were super awesome people. They had written great content, had made 1000's of comments that appeared to be legit. These same people had not followed every single person in an attempt to get a bunch of followers. Each one of them appeared to be playing by a set of unwritten rules and using steemit in a very responsible way. The sad thing is that they had earned almost zero dollars for all of their efforts.

I'm a pretty good person most people would probably say. I'm honest and fair. I don't mind hard work and I'm punctual. If I say I'm going to do something I do it. When I seen several people who had tried so hard but had not made anything it made me sad and worried. What if these talented minds just leave? I went and gave everyone a penny up vote. I had written an article with a detailed list of how I was using up bots and I thought, "Maybe I should send them a link." That is when it hit me....PROXY UP VOTES was born that day, at that moment.
