1UPdate - Esoteric Community Week 2 News
Greetings Steemazoids!
Today I just wanted to share the news from the new #esoteric community that we are co-creating as a 1UP starting community.
1UP is a new community upvoting system being built on the STEEM blockchain. Unlike the current STEEM voting model, which is based on vote weight, on the 1UP platform all user votes are equal. Users can upvote within any of the Steem communities that have been added to the 1UP platform. The 1UP application is due to launch in October.
Effectively, it is creating an extra level of rewards for quality content, as well as enhanced curation rewards!
Last week, we began three esoteric contests for content creators and we are airdropping 1 MILLION UP tokens (the SMT cryptocurrency that will drive the 1UP platform) as part of them.

There are still nine weeks to enter your esoteric content, memes and graphics and visionary art into the contests (details in the post linked above) and have an early chance to receive UP tokens, as well as potential significant upvotes (see the update for details on this).
