LOVE IS NOT LOVE UNTIL IT HURTS!
Alright Steemians! Let me have your eyes and attention for a moment please. May I? YES! Awww! Thank you so much for that! I greatly appreciate it. Lol!
I know and I’m sure that most – if not all – of the steemians here have been in love. Am I right or I am right? Anyway, whatever your choice is, I leave you no choice. Hahaha!
Wooops… Let me ask you some questions first. How would you know that you are in love? Is it when you can’t sleep at night thinking of her/him? What about when you get tired of thinking because of sleepless nights, are you still in love? So, how do you measure love then? Is it to love without measure? But how would you know that you are loving with no measure? Let’s think about it, not only once, not only twice but think of it over a hundred of times. Now, let's start counting and thinking. Hahaha. Just kidding!
Most of us have had an exclusive relationship with someone you love. And we know how does it feel hearing the words “I Love You” and “I Love You too”. Geee! How sweet and giggling those words are! However, what if unexpected things happen, are we ready to face them? Aren't we? Yes, being in such relationship is a part of one’s growth. All we have to do is to put in mind that not every relationship works. That is the reality. Life is a paradox. It is a twister. We gotta be ready, kid! We do the best we can but we still end up falling. We might be lucky today but tomorrow no more. Then, when we encounter pains and disappointments, we raise a gang of questions. Why is there love when I only gain pain? Is love equated with pain? Do I have to expect for pain in times of love? Or do I have to expect for love after the pain? How could I escape from love and pain then? We may come to the point blaming others for they aren’t helping us to save such relationship, which we thought ours to keep. No! Noone should be blameworthy as long as we do our best to nurture that relationship. Then, it’s fine. Que Sera, Sera! The past are stepping stones instead for us to strive hard and to proceed to the next chapters of our lives with our chins high.
On the same manner, by the time we learn to love, we expose ourselves to pain. Aha! It is because we give importance to the person we love. They become part of our journey. A lot from their actions, we get affected. But why do we still continue loving? Only one thing I could say: There is a mystery in love that we couldn’t understand. Just continue loving and growing ... for LOVE is not LOVE until it HURTS. If it hurts for the first time, love for the second time. If it hurts for the second time, love for the third time. If it still hurts you for the third time, LOVE MORE AND MORE UNTIL IT HURTS NO MORE!
