The name of Jesus is so powerful that ignorance of it is robbing many of God’s blessings and fulfilment in life. The enemy will do anything to keep man in the dark so that he can continue to oppress him. The very truth of it is the name of Jesus will bring us deliverance, protection and guidance from all oppression of the devil and delivers dominion to mankind. There has been given name in heaven that will save us from all our sins and will give us eternal life.

Acts 4:12 New International Version (NIV)

12 Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved.”

For us to enjoy the benefits of having power through the name of Jesus, we must understand the power in His name.

Here are some points about the power in the name of Jesus.

1. His name gives us identity

26 and when he found him, he brought him to Antioch. So for a whole year Barnabas and Saul met with the church and taught great numbers of people. The disciples were called Christians first at Antioch.

As Christian, we should live to be like Him as we are identify as Christian because we believe in Him and we are saved. God wants us to follow Him according to His purpose.

2. The name of Jesus is the name above every names.

The name of Jesus is above every name, yes!!! no one name given in this world either in heaven, deep water or to the very far part of the earth that is greater than the name of Jesus. Everyone must vow down before the name of Jesus, it means we recognized the name of Jesus as greater and powerful.

3. The name of Jesus is our strong refuge.

We can definitely say that the name of Jesus is our strong refuge that no one can overcome it. In times of problem, trouble and danger we can call the name of Jesus and He will protect us. He will be our shield from all the works of the enemy towards us. He will never allow us to be hurt or to be in difficult situation.

In order to invoke the name of Jesus, we must have faith to Him. Jesus is everywhere and He operates 24/7, we can call to Him day by day, hour by hour and even minute by minute and by faith we can trust God that He will be with us today and forever.
