RE: Unschooling: A Basic Guide for Early Education (Prek-5th grade)
Yep! This is why we take on that approach. We use our curriculum as a “source” or “guide” when we need it. If I see the kids have mastered a concept we move on. This is why I feel we only need to half of the curriculum to help keep me structured but it will give us more time to do other things. Observing our kids and taking note is so important in assessing what they need to learn and compared to what they already know and understand.
One of the perks I remind them of with homeschooling is that they get all their school work done during school hours, instead of doing all the school hours and then having lots of homework.
Beautifully said and I love this perk about homeschooling :D
I look forward to that too ~ 😊
