Three seperate but related examples on leadership and relationships
@yagoub, a member of the Stewards of Terra Mater, contacted me a few days ago. What he said to me moved me deeply and it has taken me several days to really process the significance of his statement or even how to write about it. In short, he asked that I take back my steem that I delegated to him. His reason:
"My strength is not in my account... My strength in the group that around me and friends who are around me now in Steemit..." - @yagoub - February 8, 2018
But that is not all he wrote, he also selflessly thought of others:
" give it to other someone ... That way we can help other and it will be positive for the group..." - @yagoub - February 8, 2018
To me, this beautiful spiritual being is the finest example of what it means to be a Steward of Terra Mater and he is well on his way to also Graduating Life with Honours! He recognizes that life is about relationships, not money! My dear friend @yagoub, I have the deepest respect for you as your spirit works to express itself on this planet. You lead by example and I have no doubt that you are influencing others in your life. I've honoured your request and when my delegation returns to me, I will re-delegate it to somebody else. Please know that you are a dear friend and I ask that you remain as an honourary member of the Stewards of Terra Mater!
If that was not enough, another friend @spiritualmax honoured me by making a playing card. Again, this spiritual being is working on relationships and that moved me yet again! It is my understanding that @spiritualmax is now a member of the Stewards of Gondor and as such he created a bunch of cards to honour the whales and dolphins of the SOG as well as others here on Steemit.

@spiritualmax, it is a beautiful gesture and I love the card. I must admit that I was concerned about the card having a 'battle' role which would have been incongruent to my declaration of peace. However, you did a spectacular job at reflecting me and my work while also reflecting my relationship with Mother Earth and Creator!
I am deeply moved and touched by the expression of love, appreciation and leadership that is displayed in your art work. Thank you.
As I explore my relationships with people and work hard to influence others to do the same, I cannot help but reflect on my relationship with @fulltimegeek as well.
@fulltimegeek has made some significant changes to the Stewards of Gondor and I now find myself in the top three stewards in regards to the amount of steem delegated. A few names has disappeared from the list and my thoughts and prayers go out to all those who have spend time on the team.
@fulltimegeek told me early on that it was his desire that my philosophy spread throughout the team and I suspect that is why I have so much steem at my command. To be tied in second with @abh12345 is an honour, but to also have the majority of the Stewards of Terra Mater be included in the team Stewards of Gondor is also a huge honour.
For me, this is not about the steem delegation, this is about relationships. The steem is a tool that I can use to help foster stronger relationships so that we can bring prosperity to this planet. The steem also brings with it a level of publicity and influence to help with that goal. The power of @fulltimegeeks delegation is not actually the steem but the relationships, publicity and teamwork that comes with the steem.
If we are only concern with money, then we have missed the whole point entirely. We are hear for truth, relationships and teamwork. We are here to manifest prosperity, peace and love as those areas are the true wealth! That is the scope of which I work here on steemit. I believe that is why @fulltimegeek delegated steem to me in the beginning. I call on all Stewards to reject violence, hatred, character assassinations and other abusive behaviours and chose a path that is much more difficult to walk; peace.
@fulltimegeek gets it and is leading by example. He too is well on his way to Graduate Life with Honours as he recognizes that this is all about relationships, helping one another, being in service to each other and building a strong community!
It is no coincidence that @abh12345, @taskmaster4450, @goldendawne, @cecicastor, @frankbacon, @coolguy123, @wisewoof, @earthmother, @cheneats, @yagoub, @skycae, @spiritualmax, @samiwhite, @realtreebivvy and even my wife @carey-page are constant visitors and commenters on my work. Each of these individuals have demonstrated a commitment to relationships and that is why I feel they are on the team. They work together, supporting one another and putting forth a message of what the Stewards of Gondor and Stewards of Terra Mater stand for: Peace, freedom, prosperity, joy and love. These are the foundations of all relationships and that is why Steemit is buzzing when they hear of this team. It is our generosity and gifting that brings prestige to the group.
@fulltimegeek is leading by example and it is up to each of us to do the same. There is no 'leader' to this team. We are all leaders and that is what makes this team so powerful and influential. It is how we change the world.
A very touching turn of events my friend.
@fulltimegeek's delegation and trust in you is well placed. You are doing your best to walk the path of principles you refer to.
This is a call that I think the SOG and the SOTM need to put first and foremost. If we are to change the world, we must first change ourselves.
There is no impact in speaking out against tyranny, slavery, violence, and abuse when engaging in similar practices either with our tongues or our keyboards. "The pen is mightier than the sword"....so is ones tongue and keyboard.
We see behavior on here that is less than admirable. Also, there are thousands a day joining on here. Are we adding to the mess by jumping into it or are we showing people another option? That is what is comes down to....either part of the problem or part of the solution.
People can only be where they are at in development. We all would do better if we could. Part of life is, at times, we simply cannot. Accepting others for where they are at is part of the our role of being unconditional with our love. Over time, they will get it...it just requires some more time.
The Japanese have the concept of Kaizan...the idea that small daily improvements net big results over time.
If we each can pick up our behavior a bit more...improve a little each day....be a bit more loving and tolerant...over time huge results will be achieved.
I thank all who serve as a mirror to myself....for pointing out and shine light on the different parts of me...the parts where I excel AND the parts where I need some work.

While I did not receive any new steem from @fulltimegeek recently, his reorganization is how I ended up in the top three. As the team starts to mature, I'm sure it will start to take shape to reflect the intent of the SOG and what @fulltimegeek is looking for.
I agree with you my friend in that we must do this by example. Leadership by example is going to be the way we change this world as leadership via politics is controlled and corrupted. As we confront ourselves on our own behaviours and start walking the path of peace, we will influence others to do the same. That is the power that SOG and SOTM has!
I resonate with your words deeply and I am grateful that you are on the team and doing the work that you are doing! Keep up the great leadership by example!
We are all responsible for the success, or potential failure, of being a SOG. But deep down I know FTG picked the ideal candidates, spokespeople and members to take steemit to the next level.
I have said it before and I stand by the words... FTG brought each of us to this team because he saw how versatile and diverse our skills, knowledge and contributions can be. He saw in each of us a deep underlying dedication.
As for visiting and commenting... you make it hard to stay away. Your knowledge, sharing your inner most thoughts and passions always intrigue me, challenge my own knowledge and bring out a thoughtful comment from me; without even considering my words.
You are a beautiful, spiritual being with a heart that loves to give and share with a seemingly endless capacity. I feel blessed to be a team member with you my dear sister and friend. I am grateful that we support and challenge one another! <3

I think you are really a deserving one to be among the top 3 delegatee because of the selfless acts of delegating your won SP, providing constructive feedback to other members of #stewardsofgondor and other Steemians.
I am not sure whether any other delegatees have attained a minnow status from being a red fish, but your team member is the first one I have heard of and that has to be because of your efforts as a mentor besides as a SP delegator.
That is 100% true as for as I have seen or had interactions with you. Your positive responses to the comments will always spread the love and a message of bonding and that is something not many does.
Each one of those persons of SOG's mentioned have contributed to the growth of this community in their own way by taking a lead and as you rightly said, this is a leaderless group as everyone is a leader here.

My friend, the honour and joy has been mine as I've made many new friends and found a platform upon which supports and encourages the principles that I've been sharing for over 10 years. You are a part of that support and I am grateful for that. As we start to interact more and more, it brings comfort to my heart that the team is there to support and encourage one another.
Creator knows that we cannot be up all the time and I've found support and understanding throughout all my ups and downs over the last 4+ months. SOG have had a huge role in that as the SOTM as well. I am blessed, even if this all goes away tomorrow! Thank you.

@fulltimegeek is a constant source of inspiration who gave a sense of welfare to this platform by delegating SP. This thing involved many and it became a chain in the form of #stewardsofterramater and #stewardsofgondor and the process is carry on.... :)

You are offering such a wonderful example of stewarding, not only in your everyday life but the way you approach relationships here. I hear so often that what happens online is less real in some way. As though our actions and interactions in this venue are less ours, or we have less to be accountable for. This has led to such a damaging approach. People hold their interactions online at arms length and do things they would not likely ever do in person. I appreciate that you exemplify integrity in both your online and in person relationships. I value this very much my friend.
Thank you my dear friend. I work hard to be consistent with both side of my life. I know how easy it can be to embellish ourselves on line. I have lots of people who know me in the physical and spiritual realms and I've yet to be confronted about not being 'real'. So I do what I can to share what I know. Well, I am amazed to see your qualities of leadership. You are really a human with such a generous and kind heart. You are out there to help anyone with positive intentions. It is a fact no one can deny that Minnows like me do need a lot of steem power to be socially active and enlarge their bandwidth so that one day they return the favor to some more deserving.
I really appreciate @yagoub for his such a pure heart which is so refined that he wants to sacrifice for some more deserving. It really an example of such a kind soul who gives more importance to fostering relationships and genuine comradeship.

Yes, relationships are the most meaningful bonds we can strenghten in our lives here... I truly believe there is already a bond between everyone in this Universe... we are fragments of something whole, and you, me and everyone else were the same thing and will be again... hence relationships are natural and should be the way to go, we're strenghtening a bond that already exists.
Even scientists talk about how we were all the same particle that bursted with the Big Bang, even though that is very discussable even them have explanations on how we were all one as well... but I digress.

One thing that life has taught me thus far is that everything is connected, and you get what you put into the universe. The good with the good, the bad with the bad. There is, and will forever be balance, even if you do not see it yourself.
"Leaders" and "Mangers/Bosses" are often confused. A Leader leads by example, mentors and grooms and entrusts those surround them to act in best interest of the ecosystem. Not to micromanage, to look over their shoulder, to question everything they do and not to have a complex. To trust in their ability to ethically act, and support them in their decisions.
Time and time again I have seen businesses fail, communities fail, even social constructs fail due to inadequate leadership. It has become a more egotistical position is often abused or used for personal gain, either emotionally or financially.
There is legitimate reasons as to why many people in today's workforce don't leave their job, they leave their bosses.
Thank you for sharing this insight into the group, the more I read about the group, the more eager I am to be a part of it.
