I cannot imagine what it would be like to loose a child. I have two boys of my own and we managed to raise them to be grown adults. I thank you for sharing your perspective and for bringing a deeper awareness of the differences. I suspect you are right as our connection to a child is the deepest, perhaps even more so than our spouse. The deeper the relationship the deeper the mourning.
