ULOG #15: Triund, The Crown Jewel of Dharamshala !!!
Hello fellow Steemians,
I hope you guys are having wonderful Saturday....
This is my ULOG #15 and in this ULOG, I will be sharing the photographs of my journey to the Triund Hill, which is the beautiful hill in the Dhauladhar Mountains .
Triund is a very popular trekking spot which attracts a lots of tourists from all over the globe every year.
This beautiful small hill is situated at a height of 2,828 meters above the sea level.
The trek starts from a small village named Dharamkot which is around 4 Kilometers away from McLeodganj.
From Dharamkot, Triund is around 6 Kilometers away.
Triund is not accessible in the month of January and Febraury because of heavy snowfall.
The best time to trek is from March till May and from September till December.
It usually rains in the month of June, July and August. A bit risky to trek but the meadow is lush green.
It is a two day trip from Chandigarh.
We went last year in the month of May, left Chandigarh by 3 AM in the morning. We reached McLeodganj by 10 AM, then we had breakfast over there and left for Dharamkot and by 11.30 AM or 12 in the noon we started trekking.
We were on the top of the hill by 4 PM.
Upon reaching there, we decided to pitch our tents first, before exploring the other places.
Then we started to explore this beautiful hill. I captured every moment, have a look.
This is the place for those, who don't want to stay in tents.
A small shop that offers Chips and biscuits..
Met with this young trekker from England, had a little chit chat with her. Its always nice to interact people from other parts of the world and know about their culture.
Look at these lovely rocks.
This is the hill top where most of the trekkers pitch their tents.
A small temple of Lord Shiva at the top and you can see the trishul.
Spotted these sheeps and captured them immediately
A restroom that comprised of hard rocks was in front our tent.
The view of sky at around 7 PM, look at the moon.
It was like we are under the sky in the lap of nature, but let me tell you frankly the weather was so cold there at night.
I suggest you to carry proper clothing with you, if you are planning to visit this place.
Next day, we woke up by 8 AM, people were meditating and stretching, then we started our journey back to McLeodganj and from there we came back to our city.
That was a small trip,
I will be sharing more trips with you guys soon.
Till then Keep Steeming.
Bye Bye
