For our new friends in this house, welcome to your favourite blockchain webstaurant, where we all eat with our eyes. Hahaha. We show you so many delicacies and take you through how we made them.We that we leave you with many delicacies you may not have tried, so you go home try your hands on them, following my methods. I am untalented so if you have a better way of doing it, don’t hesistate to let me know, criticise me and I will be better tomorrow.

OUR MEAL LAST WEEK

Wow, am wowed also as you are. The meal is scrumptious, lip smacking, mouth-watering, delicious and tasty. That was a Philippino dish made for @surpassinggoogle. The meal was highly appreciated by him and am highly honoured.

@adooer-eu ¬ Hahahahah. Mummy, not Wawuu, but wow. Yes am still a teacher but i do a lot apart from teaching. Last December when I came home you were quarrelling that I was pressing phone up and down, remember?

Mum ¬ You were doing estimi right?

@adoore-eu ¬ No, its called steemit. So this is part of the steemit. This is my restaurant, I cook and people visit and buy and eat.

Mum¬ From the phone? Hmmm, Teckinology. (Clapping her hands)

@adoore-eu¬ Hahahaha, no they don’t eat it through phone, they eat first with their eyes, then later some come after work to buy and eat, especially people around.

Mum ¬ Oh thats good. You are really hardworking, right from time

@adoore-eu¬ Wow.¬ Tell me, have I always liked cooking?

Mum ¬ No, but you were always in the kitchen with me. You like to know everything and you ask so many questions.

@adoore-eu ¬ Wow, so i was very inquisitive?

Mum ¬ Yes, very, very. Your eyes sharp. You remind me of myself when I young

@adoore-eu ¬ Hahahaha, how?
Mum ¬ I was very sharp. Na me take care of all my younger ones, as the first child.

@doore-eu ¬ Oh, very good. Meaning you can tell me about you and food then.

Mum ¬ Yes na, what do you want to know

@adoore-eu ¬ Tell me, at what age did you start cooking?

Mum ¬ Ah, I remember my father.
@adoore-eu ¬ Grandpa, how? na him teach you how to cook?

Mum ¬ No. Ah, life! My father did not teach me how to cook but he asked me to cook, for the first time in my life, even when he didn’t know whether I can cook or not’

@adoore-eu ¬ Really? Hmm, what happened?

Mum¬ He was very sick, different people come home to treat him, but the sickness become worse, so my mother want to take him to one hospital in Ibadan.

@adoore-eu¬ Ok, ma, am listening

Mum ¬ My mother wanted to cook for him to eat before them go. But he say no that I should cook it. He told my mother that the way he is feeling, he may not survive the sickness. He said before he die, he want to eat the food cooked by his first daughter. That was how I cook for my family, the first time, I gave my father his own, he finished it and blessed me.

@adoore-eu¬ OMG, mummy, you want to make me cry. I have never heard this story, you never told us. So did they still go to the hospital?

Mum ¬ Yes na. And he died there. He did not survive, thank God he quick eat my food. All the time my mother stay there with him in the hospital, i take care of my younger ones

@adoore-eu ¬ Oh, What a story! I thank God you people survived. So Mummy, that first day you cooked, what was your fear?

Mum ¬ I was afraid of fire. That time we cook with firewood. I fear so that fire will not burn me. But It didn’t burn me

@adoore-eu ¬ Since the time you started cooking have you ever made a mistake?

Mum ¬ Yes. The mistake was that ehm, (trying to remember). The mistake was that I put so much pepper in a soup, That same soup, I put so much salt again. No body was able to eat it

@adoore-eu ¬ Hmm. Sorry to hear that. I know your mum must have been very angry

Mum ¬Ah yes na, she quarrel too much. I wasted the soup na.

@adoore-eu ¬ I agree, she must be unhappy.
Mummy, when you were young, what food didn’t you like?

Mum ¬ I like all food o. I didn’t select. Anything my mother give me, I eat.

@adoore-eu ¬ Hahahaha. I know, even fear would not allow you because grandma was harsh o

Mum¬ Hehehe, Very Harsh, action woman. Who born you to refuse food. Then you stay for hunger o.

@adoore-eu ¬ But assuming you could refused it, would food would you have rejected?

Mum ¬ I dont like Eba and also, Okro soup . Till now, you know na

@adoore-eu ¬ Yes I know but my friends would want to know also. So Mum, tell us, whats your best food?

Mum ¬ Well, like I said, I like all food but especially fufu, pounded yam, Beans, Rice, Pepper Soup, Egusi, our local food like corn puddy and I like eating corn a lot..

@adoore-eu¬ Mummy tell my friends about me and food also.

Mum ¬ B, By now they should know you are a good cook. I said it before that you are very inquisitive, thats why you can even cook Kare kare that I did not teach you. But the funny thing they may not know is that , all the food you make, you may not have power to eat them. You are lazy in eating. You eat as if you dey sick, You eat as if the food is not sweet. Abi, you don change?

@adoore-eu ¬ hahahahahahaha, (ashamed). If I knew, I wouldn’t ask that. I eat very well, only that you give me too much.

@adoore-eu ¬ Hahahahahahahahah, Mummy, Calm down, Its just short questions. Do I get you the water?

What is the food you enjoy cooking all the time?

Mum ¬ Its rice. Rice is easy to make, rice is accepted every where even in ceremonies’

@adoore-eu ¬ Wow. So if I want to serve you food now, like am about to do, I should serve you rice?

Mum ¬ No. (pointing to kare kare soup). Let me eat this Kare Kare soup na. Its not our type of soup. Let me taste that.

@adoore-eu ¬ Hahahah, Mummy, that soup was a special request o. It has travelled abroad. I made it and packed and sent to Philippines for one very good man that has made great impact on steemit @surpassinggoogle. Tell me something else to serve you, please.

Mum¬ Waw. Philippines. Hmm. You are trying here. Ok give me egusi soup and pounded yam

COOK CORNER
Mummy in the house requested for egusi soup. Now lets make it for her
RECIPE FOR EGUSI/POUNDED YAM
Ingredients


¬ Melon
~Meat
~Smoked fish
~Bitter leaf
~Palm oil
~Seasoning ( local or otherwise)
~Pepper/ crayfish( blend into melon)
~Tomato paste ( optional)

PRRPARATION
~Wash the bitter leaf

~Wash and boil meat till tender
~Put palm oil on fire, do not bleach. Add melon

~Fry, Stir, add paste

~Fry, stir, wash and add local seasoning or any of your choice

~Fry, Stir, add meat

~Add the washed bitter leaf

~Fry, add fish

Add salt. If too thick add little water.
There! The egusi is ready!!!

POUNDED YAM

~Peel, Wash and Boil the yam till soft
~Put into the pounder or mortar and pound, hard and fast



That's the yam. Very soft and smooth.
So let's go serve Mummy.
