My #ulog Weekend Gateaway- Disconnect And Reconnect

Hello#uloggers! Our good friend suprised us with an unforgettable gift. He works in a hotel, he called us Friday afternoon and told us that he booked a room for as a gift. We didn't have time to think, we accepted his offer. Saturday at 12:00 noon we went to the hotel. We met at the lobby and drank coffee together. We  decided not to bring our laptops. My husband only had his phone, he didn't even bother to turn on the wifi. It was a big day for Rimbie. The hotel was busy because it was weekend. 

Hotel Ilunion La Antilla  Review
Our  friend works in that hotel for almost 23 years!  According to him this hotel has 344 rooms. The hotel is newly renovated with 25 more branches in the whole Spain. It is located in Islantilla, Huelva Spain. There's a lot of facilities available including, spas, pools,cafeteria, snack bar, recreation rooms, activities for adults and children and more. This hotel is just a few meters away from the sea. Our room was located on the third floor with amazing seaview. It has 2 bedrooms, 2 terraces and a big bathroom, fridge and lots of  cabinets. 

Lunch Time
We checked in before 1300. Lunch starts at 1315-1545. The restaurant was big and clean. The workers were very attentive and very friendly. There were plenty of choices, different kind of cold salads, breads, meat, fish and desserts. Rimbie enjoyed his ice cream. I chose Paella with seafoods, salad and I couldn't rememeber the rest hahaha. 

Siesta In Spain
Aftr lunch there is siesta up to 1700. I took my siesta too haha (tired from eating lols) My husband and Rimbie, didn't take any nap. They chatted and relaxed in the room with me, while I was snoring lols. 

Snack Time
After my short siesta, my son wake me up and said, it was time to have snacks. I told him: "But we just had lunch and I'm so full". They serve from 1700-1830, which is dinner time at home lols. Anyhow, we all went downstairs and checked the snack bar. They had fruits, croissants, different kind of breads, jam, butter and hams etc. 

The Bar 
They have an open bar close to the swimming pool. The place was very cosy with music. I had cappucino and they had fresh cold drinks, pina colada and coco loco. Our friend came with his son in the afternoon, just to say hello and to see if everything is alright with us. 

Swimming Pools
They have 2 swimming pools in the hotel. One big outdoor pool and one indoor pool. My son and his friend, swam for a while in the indoor pool. They liked it because it was warmer. They had a great time together. I stayed and watched them. My husband and our friend chatted in the bar. 

Dinner Time
Our friend stayed with us for  dinner. The dinner starts at 2000. We were happy that they could join us. It was a nice evening for all of us.

Night Time
At around 2130 we said goodbye and we went to rest in our room. Rimbie had a nice warm shower and read his book. We watched the Voice of Spain and stayed late. It was a party for Rimbie hehe. He really enjoyed his day out. Though we were thinking about how our cats were doing.

Breakfast 
At around 800am my son was already awake and ready to go outside. We enjoyed our breakfast and went to the beach.  The water was really warm in the morning. Ahhhh It  was nice to get some fresh air.

Saving a Minnow
While we were walking, we saw a fish on the shore. I thought it was dead. I said to my husband " look it's a herrera fish, it looks fresh!Look at the eyes" Then I touched it and the fish started to move. The fish was alive!! Throw it back in the ocean!!! It was an exciting morning hahaha. We were happy to bring him back to the sea.

Check Out
Before we checked out we stayed in the bar and had some drinks. I had a short nap while i was laying on one of the pool chairs. At around 1200 noon we checked out and walked to the beach and went home. 

Cats
We were all tired after the long walk when we got home. Our cats were missing us. Bella was laying comfortable and Oreo was just meowing all the time. He makes noises now and cleaning himself alone. We rested for a while, Rimbie played with the cats and did his homework. In the afternoon we  played beach ball outside.

A Wonderful Day Full Of Blessings
It was a nice weekend for all of us. Our friend is a blessing and a inspiration for us, very positive and a loving person. We help each other whenever we can. Today is also Mother's day in Spain. When my son woke up this morning, he greeted me with a happy mother's day hugs and kisses. Every day is a gift.....
