Hello Steemit foodies!

Summer is so on, But the good thing about summer is.... There is lots of fruits to choose from. Yummylicious! there is mangoes, pineapples, peaches, cheeries and loads.

The country of UAE (United arab Emirates, where we live), has a roasting temperature of 42 degrees celcius, and a real feel of 45 degrees at the moment. Yes, its really ouch in the skin.

How do you survive the heat if you plan to have a staycation this summer?

• people here are out and about during the night. Don't be surprise when you still see children at the park around 9 -10pm. Lifestyle during summer is different.

• hydration. Lots of water, and always a balanced diet.

• using umbrellas and shawls

• an AC (airconditioned). Though this gets a burden on a budget. There is not much we can do, especially when the temperature reach its peak in the coming months, about 50+ degrees celcius.

• we make sure we get enough stuff we need when cooking. (You would not want to go out with an angry Mister sun, just to buy a garlic :-D)

And one of my favourite things to do is making my own salad. It fascinates me to play with all the flavors, and it surprise me to discover how flavourful the taste was.

I made my salad yesterday and decided to mix with fruits, and oh soo refreshing!

I soo love watermelon at the moment, my life saver, rather than a sugary commercial fruit juices.

This salad ingredients is mostly fruits, i have got watermelon, peach (1), orange (1), lettuce, and a lime (optional). Cut them in a bite pieces.

putting all the chopped lettuce first, it will serve as the base for the salad. Then followed by a watermelon, and a sprinkle of orange and peach.

Yes, That was it. Simple and gorgeous.
