The more shares in the system you have, the bigger the vote you get. You can get more shares by being sponsored by others (check tag #steembasicincome to find contests) or you can sponsor others by sending 1 STEEM to @steembasicincome with “@username” in the memo. When you sponsor someone they get a share and you do too!
So for example if you wanted to sponsor me you would send 1 steem with “@theb0red1” in the memo to @steembasicincome. It takes a while for it to be added as they do it manually and in a recent post they said it is taking 5-8 days to add new shares.
