RE: ULOG 147 - Certified Scrum Master training in Sydney part 2
When you first started talking about scrum training, I thought you were a rugby player haha! Then I saw you were on a team building/Agile project management course and looks like it was a fun day. I do like those corporate days out, can be good fun if you embrace it and those tweets were hilarious!
Hahaha
Yea corporate days out can be fun. They can sometimes be boring but, as you said, if you embrace it then it’s still a positive event.

That's it, I think if you get involved then it's usually good fun and can get people out of the "these are just work colleagues" mindset

Agree.
Are you also familiar with the Agile methodology?

I have had very limited experience with Agile. I did a project once but my manager at the time was mainly using it. I used to work in Technical Writing/Publications with a software team so saw the rough workings of it. Think it was run by Oracle?

The book "Scrum Shortcuts Without Cutting Corners: Agile Tactics, Tools, & Tips" has been written using Scrum, they had 3 weeks sprints. We learned that Scrum could be used in other domains than software, with some rewording of the terms, it could be applied to HR, marketing, you name it.
I am sure it is a very useful tool for any project management actually. Just a few slight modifications and it can be used in a variety of different ways.
