Design Coordinates, Inc., a Construction Management Company, I have been working with different kinds of men and women, Engineers and Architects, Managers, utilities, messengers. In my 11 years of working in this company, I have made friends with some and fight with some. One of them was Architect JF, whom I have known as a smiley and a happy person. I have never seen him fight with contractors or suppliers even if we are in a higher position than them. He's the type of person that has a very long patience at work. As much as possible he wanted to make a good camaraderie with his office mates and other people who are working at the construction site.

This morning, as we are about to eat our lunch, they were talking about the status of work accomplished. Then Architect Toti, whom I only knew a few days, talked about our other office mate, Engineer Mark. Architect Toti was talking about Engineer Mark who was not around, that he was talking to him about some works that he handles. He was saying that Engineer Mark did not do the works that needed to be done as it was his field of work, (Mechanical Works). I can't actually say what work was that because it was in technical terms haha.

Our company has trained us to coordinate with our office mates when it comes to work. I guess all company does that. It is in our company's name, "Design COORDINATES, Inc." We coordinate how to manage a project to finish it with Quality in a scheduled completion of work. Architect JF feels like Architect Toti was telling our Manager that Engineer Mark was not doing his job right. He wanted Architect Toti to realize how important camaraderie is to a TEAM.

A TEAM consists of group of people with complementary skills required to complete a task, job, or project. If you use it as a verb, the meaning will be "come together as a team to achieve a common goal".

For me, working in a Group or a Team, we need to coordinate a work with everybody. Each one of the members should know what is the current accomplishment of the project we are working. We have to coordinate to be able to achieve a common goal. I guess Architect Toti doesn't realize that coordination is a very important aspect if you are one of the members on a TEAM. Until Architect JF started to talk. He got mad how Architect Toti said about Engineer Mark. He wanted Architect Toti to uplift his co-worker and not pull him down to people who are not within our team. I guess you know what I mean.

This is what happened on my day.

THE LESSON is:

• If you are a member of a TEAM, never pull a member down because in the end, you are pulling the whole team down. If someone did a mistake, talk to him/her. Advice them what they should do or should have done. Talk about it with the person who was involved. In that case, the TEAM will create a good QUALITY project.*
