ULOG 10: Scary Mask for Halloween
Hello everyone!
For this day I will share to you how I made a scary mask for this coming halloween by just using scrap materials
The materials
- old foams
- coffee
- old marble
- rope
- old ping pong ball
- old horn (the one that you squeeze to make sounds)
- masking tape
- glue gun and glue sticks
The steps
I started on cutting the old foams and formed it into a head shape. To make it more scary, I put some ropes and made it look like stitches. For the mouth, I cut the foam into little pieces. After that, I fixed the edges to make it look like a real teeth.
Next, I started on adding the eyes. If I will wear the mask I need to see. To be able to do that, I scraped the left part to make a hole. While the right eye is made from ping pong ball and marble. I cracked the upper part of the ping pong ball and inserted the small marble to make a big eye. You can also notice that I changed the nose of the mask. I found an old horn and removed the red part that we squeeze to make sound. It's much better than the previous nose because it is really looking like a clown.
I started on painting it to give some life on the mask. It's not yet looking scary. Luckily, I found a way to make the scars/wound to make it look realistic and scary. I added "coffee" in my paint and the result was great. You can look at the next picture to see the effect of the coffee
It's looking scary, and at the same time smells coffee. I added a slime on the eyes to show that it's popping out. The mask also has a hair made from ropes. I made it by twisting the ropes one by one to achieve the hair look.
And it's done!
Here is my son with his friends. They are ready for the Trick or Treat
Hope you like it!
