ULOG 31 : Tree Tuesday (a special one too)

As the one year anniversary of the disaster that along with my experience of living the day of and aftermath of 9/11, has forever changed my life approaches on the 20th of this month; I share with you my tree Tuesday photograph.
This is one of those shots that is part of history, of the American tragedy that is still felt and lived.
The photograph was taken a few days, if not weeks, after the public was finally allowed to walk this area after hurricane Maria slaughtered the coastal area. Remains can still be found such as this tree in its sea shores.
On a different note, my heart and thoughts are with my beautiful friend’s from the Philippines whom got hit this week with a typhoon. I am sure there are never enough words to explain that experience! God bless you all.

La verdad es que ahora que se acerca el aniversario de Maria todo parece tan ireal. Como si hubiese sido una pesadilla lejana... pero entonces uno sale a la calle y ve que aun hay tanta gente sin hogar, si electricidad, que los semaforos aun no sirven, que los supermercados no tienen toda la mercancia, que los precios estan por las nubes, que los escombros siguen esperando a ser recogidos y que siguen apareciendo casos de gente que murio a causa del huracan y uno se da cuenta que la pesadilla aun sigue. es my triste ver a tanta gente sin hogar. La pobreza en este pais es grande y el gobierno no hace nada.
Así es. Es un despelote total más que antes del huracán. Q muchos cabeza huecas habian, nadie escuchaba, me miraban como exagerada. Ahora se arrepienten.
