Ulog#2- It's Church Day With My Family

How are you #uloggers? My family went to church in a mass of 9:30 A. M. at Virgen De Regla church, Lapu-lapu City. When we arrived, the preceding mass was almost done so we climbed up to kiss the shrine of the miraculous Virgen Of Rule.

When we entered the church, a lot of vacant seats were available since people from the previous mass just go out but in few minutes the church will be filled with many people. The gospel was all about the day when St. John was baptized, and with the homily of the priest John means God is gracious. The priest emphasized that it is important to have a Christian name so that we can receive the overflowing graces from God. And I joked my mom of having a different name. The priest even joked that once he baptized a baby girl named Zonrox Jane knowing the story that the wife was a former sales representative of Zonrox product and Jane was the name of her husband's former boyfriend. The priest added that the basis of giving name to children today is different of God's will as what the father of St. John Zacharias gave a meaningful name to his son. Same story I heard from my grandmother that a name must have the same name to a saint, but nowadays is no longer a pattern.

We passed at the Rizal Park in going to the market after mass to buy some food stuffs. We made our family picture with no editing, please excuse our faces, still we can be pretty using picture editor apps but since we came from the church, I prefer to show the truth, lol.

We proceeded to the market and bought salted peanuts and bananas. Basic kitchen stuffs like rice, vegetables and meat were included. We went home sharing loads we carried.

This is our simplest family bonding on Sundays, we cooperate and understand our mom who alone provides us for the family's need. Hoping someday, we can provide her needs also when we can have our own income.
