Onboard Cafe Bideford
Onboard Cafe, Victoria Gardens, Bideford
This flat bottomed barge (aren't they all? 😂) has been transformed into a cafe.
We found it at the end of the Quay Car Park in Victoria Gardens on our recent trip to Bideford.
Time was short so we didn't go inside although John went onboard and bought a takeaway coffee. The reviews on Trip Advisor seem to be good but John's coffee was so bad he ended up pouring it away! 😂
Maybe the food is better.
The cafe is certainly quirky and fun and in a great location, especially if the weather was nice, which it wasn't on the day we were there. Hence the rather grey photographs.

It's always frustrating when bad coffee :( . Although the appearance of this cafe looks very original. This sailor at the entrance to the barge is too serious and frightened. The place looks calm and quiet. It is possible that there are few visitors.
There were actually quite a lot of people on the deck but you can't really see them in the photograph @madlenfox.
Looks like half bar, half cafe...can't be all bad :)
Well according to the reviews it's OK @steven-patrick so maybe it's just the coffee! 😊
Interesting looking place... sorry to hear of the bad coffee! Funny how online reviews aren't always as telling as we might like... then again, maybe they were just having a bad day. Impressive tides around there, too... it imagine it floats too, during high tide.

Maybe the food is good and the coffee is always bad. I don't suppose we'll test it out if when we're next in the area though. 😁
