Colourful Bideford Bar
Crabby Dicks Bideford
When we were exploring Bideford last week we came acrossthis bar that not only has a colourful sign but also has a colourful name.
Maybe it doesn't mean the same thing in other parts of the world but to call a bar, Crabby Dicks, doesn't seem the best choice of name to me.
Am I alone in thinking this? 😂

LoL... I love it but I'd have to take a shower with lice shampoo after going there and maybe think about going in for a STD test afterwards. But hey, what's in a name? I wonder if they let frogs and old toads in too.. Poke. 😆😈🤣

Judging by the reactions you've received thus far, I would say this is a place best left untouched. Or entered. I do have to say, though, it's a very unique use of colors and words for both signs. I don't see it being much of a blue collar worker crowd to me, as willymac was suggesting (probably in gest), but I'm not anywhere close to being an expert on bars, let alone their names and signage, so don't take my word for anything I just wrote. :)

I imagine, in the summer at least, it would be tourists who would mostly use it. I'll ask around today and see if anyone knows what sort of reputation it has. 😊
I think it would be funny if you found out, based on the reactions on your post, that it was the most down to earth, awesome place ever!
My local friend says it's the a place locals end up in after a night on the town @glenalbrethsen because there's good music and dancing there.
She's been there a number of times apparently so it can't be that bad! 😊
Well, there's Crazy Dicks in Liverpool St. To call it colourful is exactly that, and becoming ordinary😂🤣😅
Crazy Dicks is not quite as bad as Crabby Dicks though is it @immarojas? It's even worse than that pudding called Spotty Dicks! 😂
