- Helpful timing -

"Shimuk, this is Sylv reporting in, the coast is clear. I repeat the coast is clear. My parents have vacated the premises. Move in and be prepared to be let in. Over. Shz"

"Hear you loud and clear, Sylv. Shimuk approaching backyard gate. Awaiting access into your parent's backyard. Over. Shz."

With the grass pronouncing in pain the two giddy feet, the gate door squeaked in high joys as the night air would carry the giggles far and wide. The backyard gate doors announcing its slide back and re-locking, the two pair of legs began their gleeful steps around to the horror of the blades of grass. Their hands still holding, they both spun to glance at each other and their voice-box wouldn't utter a noise. Their heads rearing in, they nuzzled-n-giggled before their legs went back to making silent terror on the grass.

"So, Shimuk, what’s on the agenda tonight?"

"Hiking-"

"Shimuk! Remember, bad knees?"

"-in the backyard and climbing the darn ol’ tree there."

"Ah, much better~"

"Got your dad’s shovel, Sylv?"

"Where else but the shed, mój Shimuk?~"

And so with hands unlatching, her legs darted off for the shovel while her legs hopped towards the ol' tree. However, as her hands ripped through the shed to find the shovel, Sylv's eyes was relaying to her mind a strange keenness that the bark of the tree radiated. Her head soon, to the enjoyment of sleepy bark, landed with grace and her ears tried to inquire the soft chirping that bounced about in the tree. Pulsating with those lil' hums did the tree barks sleepily made without care, but her ears wanted to inquire the absolute source. And so her entire body worked on pinpointing the source, with hands-n-feets coordinating, ears acting as scanners and eyes looking for every lil' nook-n-cranny. But her ears heard blade of grass squeaking loud as her friend slowly huffed-n-puffed her way to her over-investigated tree.

"Shimuk, come here, I think the shovel's gonna be useful today!~"

"Coming, coming!~"

"Hear it? The vrooom-vroom noise?"

"Yeah. Bit loud and frequent, how'd we not hear it?"

The shovel struck the Earth, the dirt and grass squeaking as the shovel grunts with every stab in the Earth. Dirt sung of their graceful folly in the air, more was soon to join them as the shovel worked upon the Earth and was constantly exchanged by Sylv-n-Shimuk's tired arms. Eventually the shovel would grunt a sharp chinking pain, to which both of their ears gleefully rejoiced; however, soft steps pounced on the grass which made the greenscrape squeaked in silent terror. Each step getting louder-n-restless, but ceased after the shovel made its metal chink noise. The body of the stalker concealing itself in the grass, the eyes kept a silent watch and awaited what was to come.

"Sylv, do the honours~"

"If you say so Shimuk."

"This looks... weird but cool. How does it work?"

"Bard dikilite, shanum quialif, bakilitos makern!"

"Gah, what are you?"

"Sorry, you humanicans, I thought you my great friend. Anyways, I'm surprised that I have been found by humicans and not my kind."

Now the steps ever-increasing, the blades of grass screamed in horror as the pain became unbearable to keep quiet. The alien machine's organs sensed a disturbance and flew towards the sprinting body. A great thud between differing bodies did the air rang loudly-n-proudly, yet the floating alien machine began re-centering itself and had its probes on the stalker.

"Humanican, what are you doing carrying a knife... you are no humanican, you're those filthy Bar-stellums!"

"Hiss, hiss, don't make yerself holy now. Plus, these humanicans wouldn't understand sh-"

A powerful beam of light engulfed the entire area, massive ringings wrecking the ears of the lassies. With the light and noise far around the World by now, the two finally would open their eyes and let their hands stop covering their ears. The flying alien machine centered back to the middle of them, prompting only a simple request:

"I know this culture is familiar with ETs and the what nots. But the story's true, to some extents anyways. I simply shall provide protection until I am away from this planet. In exchange, I demand to not be revealed; I shall make no noise and shall keep quiet, but I shall be constantly pulsing. And if that Bar-stellum was any example, they shall be wrecking through this neighborhood hard to find me - excluding your government people who are vicious already."

"O-o-okay! I don't know what even happened, but we'll take the challenge."

"Me and Shimuk shall help you out"

"Splendid! I shall set up shop soon, I shall try not being a nuisance."

Two things: first time entering this contest (yay!) and also got a beautiful essay from mój Ukochany~ ;.; ~So blessed!~

Anyways, no end blurb this time other than to bs about an upcoming contest called QITR! Consider ever having something interactive and fun to read without being a UI eyesore? Consider ever wanting a chance to earn big and working together with people to get mad dough? Consider ever just how screwed up Steemit is that contests can only support writers nowadays? Consider ever wanting a prize for reading?

If you said even yes to one of those, then thou art in luck! QITR, Quest in the Realms, hoisted by the great @bananafish is an upcoming project to kick-ærs-n-chew-bubble gum. I only make headways for it since I helped contribute through writing and being a treeline consultant while organizing the daily Cthulhu chants. Anyways, QITR qua contest shall make all these other contests feel sad that they haven't harnessed the power of Steemit Blockchain mechanisms!

We got @curie, @crowdmind, @steembasicincome and so on and so on support that it just doesn't stop for our Pot of 30 Steem along with 30+ SBI Units to hand out to the winners. We've a chance to make Steemit fun and enjoyable and to see the beauty in fiction-craft. SO PLEASE LOOK HERE FOR MORE INFORMATION!
