RE: [TV Discovery] Stewart Lee's Comedy Vehicle
For me, I stopped paying attention to Linkin Park around the time of Minutes to Midnight. It's a shame this one went under the radar.
My all-time favourite has to be The Wall by Pink Floyd, I dread to think how many times I've listened to that one. Another favourite of mine is Is A Real Boy/Was A Real Boy by Say Anything. It's definitely worth checking out if you haven't heard of them.
You've given me another one to add to my list there, I've never really listened to Alice Cooper so I'll have to give that one a go.
Minutes to midnight wasnt their best work. Fair enough - The wall is brilliant! Havent heard of them il look them up tommorow.
Alice Cooper is brilliant -seen him live twice. Such a showman! He has like 20 albums the ones i like are welcome to my nightmare, trash and Along came a spider one of his newer albums and also a concept album
Is/Was a Real Boy is probably one of my favourite albums, there's one track in particular called "Wow, I Can Get Sexual Too".
I've just added Alice Cooper's discography to my Google Play Music account so i'll start on them this coming week, I've been after some new artists recently and you've given me so much to listen to!
Cool!
Great I love sharing music with people! Im about to listen to Get Cape, Wear Cape - just going for the first album as I dont know where to start!
First album is definitely the best, I listened to it recently and it still stands up. I think he changed names at one point to something else, but he might be back under the Get Cape name now... not sure. Favourite track is probably War of the Worlds... which reminds me actually, talking about concept albums, have you listened to Jeff Wayne's The War of the Worlds? I knew I was forgetting one.
It's rare I find anyone who'll tolerate a lot of what I listen to! Did you ever use the site Last.fm?
I haven't listened to war of the worlds il add it to my list!
Mate, its great to have found someone with similar music interests!
I havent used last.fm.....
Oooh yeah do, there's two versions, the original and a newer one with Liam Neeson in (seriously)
Last.fm is a music orientated social media site, I signed up like 12 years ago when it was popular. The cool thing about it is you can "scrobble" your music, basically just logs everything you listen to. You can see my listening history: https://www.last.fm/user/Cooljohng/library I still use it myself, but probably a bit late to start now.
