A beast for Norn so far

I found this image in good reads and despite it being in black and white I can't help but think that it pictures the story so far. I haven't finished this short story but so far I'm loving it. Without ruining it for you I can tell you that Norn is part of a 12 guild beast fighting tournament.

Norn lives in a planet with 12 different weather and climate state, where each guild breeds different sorts of animals who can thrive in said weather conditions.

Norn's beasts have no chance against the other beasts from the other guilds, most likely because of climate conditions but, one day Norn hears about Haviland Tuf's existence and his coincidental closeness to his planet at the moment and he decides to pay him a visit and ask for new beasts that can live in the weather conditions of his zone of the planet.

Tuf is a bio engineer by chance and provides planets and people solutions based on agricultural and animal bio creation, so he decides to help Norn, not without charging him for his services.

So far, the story is written delightfully and is incredibly rich, I'm loving George RR Martin's style which can easily be disected and differentiated from A song of Ice and Fire.
