Choosing happiness. Your post is full of wisdom and recognition that our lives are based on choice. So why not choose to see the light, even in darkness? When you look at it that way, you are right. We are in the land about riches, but it's not money but something greater!

You got it siStar, or even more meta than that is to consider we are the light, the all that is. Darkness then does not exist in form it is merely contrast, the absence of light. There is only fear that is the illusion of separation. You the observer knows no fear until it is perceived to be. Perhaps this is what choice truly is, one may create now or inevitably return to existence?
Choose as we will, the point will come when we will innerstand that our collective consciousness is creating the reality we seek. All duality allows for free will choice, this is a dimensional conversation for another day. What is "really" happening here now is those who do not make conscious choices and direct their own energy will have it done for them, by whatever is the dominant force.
