Transparency Is Where Your Truth Is!

Something I have never been a fan of, is lying on social media. Maybe I perceive it as lying because I like depth and the core of a person. It reminds me of when I am in conversations with people and they begin talking about, “Yeah, the weather is great outside today..isn’t it?” While it may not be a lie, and it may be absolutely gorgeous outside, I see this as a lying interaction with a person just so you can make it through the “awkward” sensation of having to speak to someone you don’t know, or maybe it is someone you do know.

Even simple quotes people post as statuses, they may speak depth, but “How did this transform your life?” Let’s go deeper on the subject, please. Do you really know what that quote is sharing, or are you just sharing it because you like it? Is it something you are learning and just desire to share it with the world.. I really want to know. I am literally so curious about the mind and how it works and how human beings operate (or maybe you’re alien, either way I’m curious).

One of the main reasons lying on social media is a big turn off for me, is because I did it for 3 years in my business. I was pretending to be something I wasn’t. Putting on a happy smile because people thought I was always so happy and had my life together. LOL, thats a funny one. But that was a situation I put myself in because that is how I projected myself out to people. I began being super critical on myself, because I thought I had to show up this exact way I shared on social media. I know as soon as I took off the mask, more people flocked to me than before because I was honest, and the real ones who could handle my “baggage” showed up. (Also, I don’t think any of us really have baggage, we have a “life” and we go through shit..that is not baggage, that is beautiful.) Why do some of us feel like we “have” to be a certain way and show up a certain way on social media?

The reason for me, was because I was already doing it for so long, that if I showed up any other way, a lot of people may have lost interest, or I may be taken as fake for being one way when really I act another way. When really you never lose the people that resonate with your message. The others can fall back. Your truth is your truth and if you can’t be raw and transparent in this online world that all of our world is moving too, what makes you think you’ll attract in the people that accept you for you? They will only be accepting of the parts you show and you could potentially be nervous to share the rest because you haven’t shared that yet. But imagine baring your soul out, releasing everything, leaving it all out there. Where people either love what you have to share or they don’t, but at least you got your message out and the people that needed to hear it, did.

In an online database where most people are trying to show their “Light & Love” it’s time to be more real and shine that light on your darkness and connect with things most people choose to keep hidden. That is one of the best things you can do on social media is be the raw version of you, so they know when they meet you in person, this is exactly what you are going to get, and you already knew from the jump.

For the month of August, I have 4 more spots open to radically dive deeper into your most transparent self and sharing anything you desire with the world, without hesitation so you can draw in your soul tribe. PM me if this calls out to you <3

This has been a theme recently for me. I decided to call them forced awkward teachable moments. Why hide behind convenience or culture when you could actually live the life you are in? Good or bad, real is best.

omg I love that! Awkward teachable moments, Im going to use that one. its so true, why hide when you can be real!?

Exactly.... and I wrote an article about that chi kung stuff we talked about a week or two ago: https://steemit.com/yoga/@ecoknowme/smile-taoist-yoga-chi-kung-qigong-is-for-everyone you might like it. :) Cheers @ecoknowme

I'll post this here: finished chapter 4 and very much enjoying the read. I'm a big fan of incredulity...
One of my oldest friends showed up at my door last year telling me he is no longer Paul, but rather Kah-Len Nezu from the planet Lyra.....
I'm still a modernist through and through though.....I see it as postmodern religiosity:)

Great post!
Isn't it interesting to feel that the persona that we project always has to be "unmutable" and "unchanging"?

Sometimes, though, I feel that on social media, we tend to just "vomit" what's going on... maybe it's to fulfill the sensationalism,

I find that sometimes what is more helpful is to tell the story behind our journey when we've arrived at a certain stopping point (because, heck, we're always on a journey, right?).

Rather than the "how terrible is this" and the "woe is me" - it's the "what did I learn from this" and "how I got through this thing" that sometimes I find helpful.

But I agree, candidness and honesty is so refreshing.
