It may be wise to check your facts.
WWII saw Hitler and Stalin at war with each other.
Their countries devastated each other and never had a union, a short lived truce Yes, but no union.
The majority of casualties for both countries came at the hands of the other!
Russia was a major member of the "Allies".

Truce is not the word, I think.
Stalin and Hitler signed a Nonaggression Pact in 1939 with a secret addendum dividing Poland. It gave Hitler a free hand in the west. One of the main reasons Stalin signed the pact was that great Britain and France botched their own efforts to arrive at a pact with the Soviet Union.
There are similarities, but they are far-fetched.
