I'm skeptical blockchain and AI can ever be properly merged together in a way that creates more value than the sum of the parts...

Maybe not in the way he proposed,I think that it could be more than the sum, but in a different way. I haven't think about that so I don't have an example or something. Even so, the merge is totally necessary.
