Mass Shooter Ian David Long — "Mental Illness"?

According to CBS Los Angeles, Ian David Long had suffered from PTSD. However, his psych evals show that he was cleared.

I think it's something how — when it comes to white male shooters — media is quick to look for humanization. They go digging up medical files and mental evaluations. Because, there's no way a sane Caucasian male would commit such atrocities, right?...

Whereas, a person of color finds the media in full-on character assassination, from the jump. Instead of looking for psych evals, they go for criminal history and past crimes, even before the facts are out.

Just look at Botham Jean — killed in his own apartment, while minding his business. Media tried to say he had #marijuana on him, which wasn't his...Instant character assassination.

But here we have Ian David Long — who just killed 13 people, plus a sheriff deputy — and the first thing said is: "He suffered from #PTSD ."

Do you not think Blacks — especially those from the hood — suffer from PTSD, daily?......

Yet, we don't go shooting up random crowds of people at a mall, theater, music festival, etc.

It's domestic #terrorism . But they never call it that, by "technicality." And instead of charging them with terrorism, they charge them with byproduct offenses.

Because Lord forbid...a white man be labeled a terrorist, right? That goes in direct contrast to the image of "the terrorist." For over two decades, media has painted the image as people of color. Yet, more "angry white men" have done more domestic damage to America than any foreign threat.

It's crazy that " #mentalillness " or "lone wolf" are the go-to disclaimers for white male #massshooters. Yet, the same people protecting their images are the first to say all #illegalimmigrants are killers...or all Blacks are dangerous.

But when the heat is directed at Caucasians, there's an instant disclaimer. "Mental illness." "Lone wolf." "Wasn't loved enough."
