The Old Dog Contributes: Tree Tuesday And The Scars And Lines of Age!
Some say that the wrinkles and scars on a man's face give him character. Is that just a nice way of saying that the man has grown old? Perhaps!
In the case of trees, though, the signs of their age certainly do add interest and beauty.
The example that I'm showing here features the healed wound of a branch that has been lopped off as well as the remnants of the sappy tears that once ran down from the wound.
Extending up from the wound is another curvy vertical scar that has healed as a testament to the power and resilience of this moss covered tree!

Always great to see the Old Dog in the tag! That is a great old tree with a lot going on in the pic. I really like seeing the moss/lichen on the trees. I heard it say that is an indication of good air quality!

Dear friend, the word of God says: everything that breathes praises Jehovah, and I am sure that this tree as a living being, I weep the cut of its branch, and for the sample it is there with that wounded gra and a big hole in it. his heart, but still, his moss does not leave him, I know that he will not heal, nor will he ever do the same as before, but the best thing of all is that he still, wounded, continues to breathe.
