Gorgeous photo with the sunset! You're right about most Durban gardens having at least one palm tree, we have 4 variants in our garden alone, just love them and they just thrive jn our climate hey!

Climate is right for the palms down here, little to do except remove old falling fronds @lizelle
We have three variants in the garden and one just outside on a bank giving them easy access to the bird feeder, weavers build nests into it as well.
We are fortunate that they are so suited to our climate, the weavers have been very busy the last couple of weeks!
An Eastern Cape friend once remarked when she came to Durban that we're so lucky as anything grows here, she said she's sure even a broomstick would grow if you were to push it into the ground ;);)

I should share photography on that tree alone with a variety of sunsets @papacrusher I have used the palm in many shots with both the sun and the moon, it seems to add character to photography.
I love the palm trees too. They are abundant in Caribbean, they grow really tall. I took many pictures of strange looking palm trees 🌴, some grow slanted 😊
Another place with many palms for sure @starjewel agree many have fronds going in different directions, look like 'old people' carrying a burden.
Palms for me are beautiful exotics. We can only meet it in flower tubs indoor. :)
