Wicked awesome capture, @joanstewart! It reminds me of the Old Man of the Mountain (the state emblem of New Hampshire - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Old_Man_of_the_Mountain), but with a wonderful springtime vibe. Just what I needed on this chilly, rainy spring Wednesday!
That is amazing Traci, nice that a postage stamp and coin stamped used of the rock formation. Now that it has fallen down it should add value to both, if you had one hidden away.
Nice piece of history, state emblem design people most probably never knew much about erosion, never envisaged wear and tear face would eventually disappear with time.
Good old days when stamps carried unique featured plants or places, (I think in the seventies) it was a great collectors item.
Eland? Synonym with "Little Switzerland" in the Berg Lady Joan? I do presume the old gent on the tree is residing in the berg somewhere?
