The Mysterious Forest
OK, not really all that mysterious. These are just some woods near my house on a foggy morning. The cyanotype effect (applied in Lightroom) with a bit of a vignette does give this photo a somewhat mysterious feel though. For reference, you can see the original shot below. Not quite as moody or eerie, but I still like the layered effect from the fog.
Which version do you prefer… cyanotype processed or the original image as shot?

It is mysterious! It would be good cover for a murder mystery novel! I like your cyanatype version the best. the eye is really drawn to that patch of light and you wonder what is beyond it!
Thanks! In addition to the color difference, I do like the way that the vignetting draws your eye to that light in the center. Now I just need to pitch it to a publisher of murder mystery novels. :)

Beautiful! I like the mystical look of the first shot but I like the feeling of the second. A foggy forest is such a wonderful place. How's that for a non-committal answer? :D
