I noticed that the photos were smaller, that's unfortunate.
Yesterday I was thinking about solutions to this problem, since the layout of Steemit.com is more geared towards text-mainly blogging and not so much to sharing photography or images. I'm still thinking about it seriously, and moreso now after this conversation :)
I was using the other portal to access the blockchain, but I've completely forgotten the name now! I believe it was better for viewing photos.

Right-mouseclick -> View image works fine, of course, but if you stay away too long, Steemit will log you out. Some sort of "Full screen" option in the interface like Facebook (gasp!) has would be nice.

Hey @yetaras, in the last Winners' mega post I announced that I was going to take a short break and then resume on Thursday May 11th which is this Thursday. We're in discussions about some changes that may take place within the competition. Stay tuned! :)

There's also the colour theme, so if you can come up with an orange tree for today, that would cover them, I think 8-).
