Tree Tuesday — all the trees of the field will clap their hands

in #treetuesday7 years ago (edited)

The tree which moves some to tears of joy
is in the eyes of others only a green thing that stands in the way.
Some see nature all ridicule and deformity,
and some scarce see nature at all.
But to the eyes of the man of imagination,
nature is Imagination itself.

William Blake, 1799, The Letters

Thank you to the trees — cedar, pine and euonymus that gave of their branches to make this gorgeous bough strung along the picket fence at Dundurn Castle.

so overjoyed to see natural and traditional decorating. I'm so sick of Viva Las Vegas lights strobing and cliched icicle lights hanging and inflatable cartoon characters swaying. These boughs look and smell like Christmas to me.

The photos are very professional looking and could be used for commercial purposes, but I'm glad you used them here to promote Christmas cheer.

Beautiful

Professional? eeeesh.....thank you! I love these boughs, maybe one day I'll try making some. Maybe.

I can smell it from here! Its heavenly.

Nothing better than fresh pine and cedar....:)

We have opted for an artificial Christmas tree for our home because they can cost upwards of $100 here. Contrast that with the $15 bargain I found for the artificial tree we have now. While I'm happy that we have saved money...I so miss the hearty, earthy fragrance of a fresh tree. I'm hoping we will find a nice place to go cut next year.

It's true. Fresh trees are way over priced...but there isn't anything wrong with artificial. That's what we use now as well. Ikea used to offer trees for $20 but they were dry and didn't last the season. When you return the tree they'd give a gift card....being all environmental and all :)

I usually go for a walk in the woods with some pruners and cut a few branches to get the scent in the house - I just pile them into a large tin can or big glass container and it does it's thing without my help. :)

Nice Post, I can feel the Christmas inside :-)))

I'm glad it gave you that feeling. Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas you too!

Your photograph has been good. And this nature enhances the beauty of the picture.

Thank you @sagor5828, glad you enjoyed them
