Wow, my favorite part is your pic with the spices! It looks so good, and I'm sure they made the whole dish so full of flavor. And just like @eco-alex said, it's the nightshades (potatoes and tomatoes) that certain people don't consider "paleo", either because they doubt that they were part of the human diet during the paleolithic, or simply because some people have a health sensitivity to them. If you ask me, there is absolutely no problem putting them in a dish, especially such a delicious sounding one! Besides, you made two pots, one without nightshades, so if a picky-paleo eater came to visit you, they could partake of maqash too.

Oh yes, thank you for the good comments and I was a little bit sad because of the potatoes and tomatoes. Now I remember that the other one has no tomatoes and potatoes. That is the favorite of my boss.The children love it with potatoes and tomatoes. So I must cook two pots at once.

No reason to be sad, if the children love them (so do I by the way), and they are only borderline paleo. It's not like bright-colored breakfast cereal full of sugar, which is clearly not paleo. Also, thanks for the
