Bourgas Fish and Wine Festival

Only three days the festival of fish and wine took place in Bulgarian Burgas. The local municipality organized this holiday in the central square of Troikat, by the way, there is a monument to Alyosha, a Soviet soldier-liberator. What is interesting, almost always public holidays are sponsored by local authorities.

And this time, rapper Georgi Enchev joined the sponsors. Of course, I don’t know what this musician is famous for, but I suppose that music. What a fine fellow. I don't know if we have any musicians capable of such actions in St. Petersburg.
Installed stretch marks and billboards throughout the city, promising delicious food and wine tasting. And also contests, songs and dances.

At the festival there were interesting, and perhaps even unique culinary dishes, the truth can only for me. Not really, I understand Bulgarian cuisine, by the way, and Russian, too. Therefore, everything that someone has prepared, and not me, is unique to me.

But I prepared and learned the basic names in order to at least know what I was eating. I share knowledge, it is suddenly useful. Chicken - sawing, pork - swine, one could guess without the knowledge of the Bulgarian language, beef - telly.

But with the fish all the more difficult, it must be known by the name, just say the fish is not enough. By the way fish in Bulgarian - riba. If you ask for something, say the mother, almost as I pray you, give me something to eat. And how to eat, say thank you or merci. Ridiculous. In Bulgarian, so much is mixed up. Therefore, I use the international sign language, i.e. poke a finger in the food.

Most importantly, everything is fresh here. Cook constantly, throughout the day, from morning to night. And everything on the grill, smoke yoke, next to stand impossible. Everything hisses, smokes, twists and smells.
Freshly prepared fish was delicious. I was told that it was a shark. For the first time in my life I ate a shark, they usually "eat" me.

What a festival without a 10-meter bar, where you can taste the best Bulgarian wines. In this I am beginning to understand. I like the local Rosa, this Bulgarian trick - rose wine. And here, when tasting is in full swing, an INDIAN appears. The first thought - it's time to tie with wine, the second - from where in Bulgaria an Indian. In fact, everything is simple - an Indian man keeps a shop with products, decorations in the Indian style, i.e. with feathers. This is what I did not expect to see here.

Various master classes are held here, for children - various games and competitions, the winners of which receive prizes.

And of course, do not forget about sweets for children. By the way, adults here also love cotton candy.

In the evening, Bulgarian musicians performed: Valdi Totev from Shchurtsite, Stanley and Finki, Schick and Elijah Angelov from Diana Express, the Horizont group and the Signal group. Maybe someone knows these musicians, I did not wait, I ate too much.

Personally, I listened so much to the day of folk music that I felt dizzy. The music is very monotonous and volatile. Songs such mournful and protusny. Dances differ from each other only by going through different leg movements. How many did not look, and did not understand why these dances are called differently. Movement is always the same and almost the same place. All the dancers are lined up and cling to each other’s belts, apparently so that no one can escape during the dance. But Bulgarians love their music and dancing. Sometimes people from the “hall” joined the dancers and danced heartily, it was noticeable. Sometimes someone would go on stage and drag out a “cheerful” Bulgarian folk song, and the audience would support him and clap.

It gets dark in Bulgaria somehow immediately and very early. The festival is over and I am glad that I visited it, saw and heard how people live. No matter how I feel about this, but the national holidays must be held so as not to forget what kind of tribe and tribe you belong to.
