Exposition of tanks in the museum Breakthrough of the Siege of Leningrad

The exposition is located at the Ladoga Bridge on the left bank of the Neva River. The history of the exposition begins with the construction of the diorama "Breaking the Siege of Leningrad" under the Ladoga Bridge.

Initially, next to the diorama on the pedestal was installed one tank of World War II.

Later, other tanks found on the territory of the Leningrad region were brought here.

Now at the exhibition are presented and post-war tanks, most recently decommissioned.

Tank T-55M
Adopted in 1983. Weight 41 t., Crew of 4 people. The speed of 50 km / h. Armament cannon 100 mm and 2 Kalashnikov tank machine guns.

Heavy tank KV-1

Adopted in 1939. Weight 47 tons. Crew 5 people. Speed ​​34 km / h. Armament gun 76 mm and 3 machine gun DT.

Small amphibious tank T-38

Adopted in 1936. The weight of 3.3 tons. Crew 2 people. The speed on land is 40 km / h, on water 6 km / h. Armament machine gun DT.

Heavy tank KV-1S

In battle formation since 1942. Crew 5 people, weight 42.5 tons. Speed ​​42 km / h.

Light tank T-26

Adopted in 1931. The combat weight is 9.4 tons. The crew is 3 people. The speed of 31 km / h.

Wheel-tracked tank BT-5

In service since 1933. Weight 11.9 tons. Crew 3 people. The speed of 52 km / h, and on wheels 72 km / h.

In addition to the diorama and the exhibition of tanks, a new museum has recently opened here. The breakthrough of the blockade of Leningrad has been opened, there is coffee with soldier porridge.

I think I've seen the pedestal with one tank on it.

I believe there is quite some pride in St.Petersburg that they got through the long-lasting siege without chopping down all the urban trees - even as people were dying from the cold.
