Hello everyone,
I'm in Thailand visiting my family for this post. I haven't been back for quite a long time, more than a year. I had a chance to visit Ayutthaya, which is famous and interesting for tourists. I’d like to show you some temples that I visited.
Ayutthaya
Ayutthaya is the ancient capital city of the Ayutthaya Period, about 670 years ago. Ayutthaya is surrounded by 3 main rivers, the Prasak River on the northern side, the Chao Praya River on the western and southern sides, and the Lopburi River on the eastern side. Present day Ayutthaya is a well-known historical city amongst both Thai and foreign tourists, and is about an hour by car from Bangkok.
Phra Si Sanphet Temple
Phra Si Sanphet Temple or Wat Phra Sri Sanphet was an official royal temple with no monks, like Wat Pra Keaw in Bangkok. It was built in 1499 by King Rama Thibodi II. It is an important temple of Ayutthaya, and features 3 pagodas that serve as landmarks.
The three Chedis are believed to keep the ashes of three Kings : King Trailok, King Borom Ratchathirat III, and King Rama Thibodi II.
The Royal Vihara or Vihara Luang was built at a palace. A 16 meter tall golden standing Buddha was enshrined here, but after it was burnt in the war it was moved to Prachetuporn Vimonmangalaram, or Wat Pho, in Bangkok.

Operating hours: Every day 8:00-18:00
Entrance fee: 50 Baht for foreigners and 10 baht for Thai people.

I live on the north side of Ayutthaya but probably not for much longer. I have always been fascinated with Japan, it's cool that you get to live there!
