On The Go Photos #5 - Iceland, Long Gallery!!!
What do I mean by on the go photos? These are photos that are captured not exactly the places I had planned to visit. Means everything we drove by and saw. It's hard to drive on the road and ignore the stunning landscapes therefore not taking photos... impossible. I stopped many many times on the road or on the side of the road to take photos. Oftentimes even photographed while driving because stopping after every few kilometers... this is the luxury of time I didn't have.
Photos of this post are all captured on the last days of being on Iceland. Most of these photos are taken on the Westfjords and a couple of shots are from Snaefells peninsula. I saw some amazing views during driving. No words describe it better than photos in this post.
Starting right away from one of my favorite shot...
Dangerous roads...
Amazing fjords everywhere, all Iceland was like a dream driving through...
After we washed the car in the end, we also took a photo with our campervan that carried us through all around Iceland and didn't break down driving on those treacherous roads. One local who also wanted to wash his car laughed at us when I set up my camera on the wall and posed with the van.
I hope you enjoyed this gallery of breathtaking landscapes!
When exactly did you visit Iceland? It does look quite warm to me (for Iceland standards of course :))
The first photo would be my favorite too. It's a breathtaking view. Those mountains are screaming - come for a hike, come for a hike, lol :D
Great photos, lovely trip! Thank you for sharing and congratulations on yet another curie vote :)
Thank you! I visited Iceland in the middle of the summer. Temperature was around +15 Celsius and a little less on the higher mountains.
Hiking on the trails was pure enjoyment!

indeed, these are fantastic landscape. Nice to see the other part of the world
Definitely!
What a nice and breath-taking view you have captured in there my friend. I find it fascinating that you were able to showcase the beauty of the countryside in Iceland. Many people rarely witness these beautiful sights. Good thing you were there to share it with us. I really enjoyed looking at those pictures. They are so lovely. How I wish to go there someday.
Thanks for the share. Safe travels always.
Thank you! Yes, Iceland was totally amazing. Whenever you may have a chance to go there, I strongly advise you to!
A happy campers van lol. Some great landscape to photograph and you did very well. You must be a nightmare to drive with wanting to get photos all the time. Just kidding.
Thanx! Haha, at least my girlfriend can tolerate my photographing habits :D
Lol. Then she is a keeper then as if I did that I would have been kicked out the car.
As usual, you never fail to impress us with your photos! Love these!! :D
Thanx! Its just Icelandic landscape that does half of the job :D
Stunning! I don't know how you do it but you always have the best shots, I could travel all the way to the same locations like you and take the same pictures and never have the same wonderful result, you are a master at landscape photography, thanks for sharing!

Thank you! I am glad you like the shots I took :)
Your shots are stunning and capture so much of the expansiveness of Iceland but also somehow not making it look desolate. I have friends who regularly work in Iceland and their images always look a bit bleak and foreboding. But yours have a sense of spring about them - gentle colours, soft light and beautiful shapes..
The contrast of the beached tanker in black and white was profound - like 'this is what mankind does when he takes a wrong turn and a storm blows up.'
Sooooo different from my day to day world in lush Northern Thailand, and such a string reminder that Mother Earth is gloriously diverse and breath-taking on so many levels.
Thank you! I am glad you like the photos I took. There is so much strange places to see on this diverse planet yes. If I only had more time and funds :D.
Get your steem game up 3 levels... with steem price finally starting to rise maybe soon you can start to fund travel with it. 😉✈
