Table for two please
Because my cousin Zion is here for the holidays I took her to my favorites.
First stop
I wrote a blog about this cheap ramen place inside the mall before so in case you missed it feel free to scroll down.
Because it's her first time to try ramen she opted to have it without any spice and with a spoon and fork than a chopstick. At 250php she had a ramen and a gyoza.
Yes,not the tastiest ramen but for now it will do her good to try her taste buds on something Japanese.
For our sweet tooth, we went for some sweet yam cake and some pasta .This place I also shared on one of my post for its cake and different kinds of pasta. So because they had this buy one eat one pasta promo we opted to dine on an all meat spaghetti and a pasta lingua. The latter was too salty for my taste I opted to take it out and ready processed it with our homemade pasta to this. In times of inflation like this, cooking skills comes handy.
Third stop
Because we could not get enough of the sugary feel we also check out a quaint bakeshop famous for its elaborately decorated cake. From the looks of it you'd think you'd stepped into some countryside with it's wooden chairs and wall papers. I love the fact that the place is cozy .
Fourth stop
For some chicken experience we went to this place inside the mall. Not famous but certainly a value for money and if you remember well my friend Medie and I had a swell time in here too. I love their quick and friendly customer service too. My cousin agrees that indeed it has a tasty appropriate serving of poultry.
Fifth stop
We also tried the ice cream craze in town. I had my first taste of this frozen delight in Manila and I was not impressed at all. But in respect to my cousin we ordered two and take couple of pictures to check if it's really true it defies gravity. To our sad chagrin, it feel off just like Isaac Newton predicted. In the end we realized it wasn't worth our money as local fast-food has their version of this at half the price
Sixth stop
How about some tea? Another gastronomic craze is this milk tea which I find taste like medicine. Its ironic that their best seller wasn't my cup of tea The place was impressive and the packaging too with its "crown "cover but what I like best was the cake. Yes they are so creamy and sinfully delicious.
Seventh stop
We went to this pyramid restaurant. I believe I wrote about it several days ago. Just in case you're lazy to scroll down here are some pictures we took. Show some love by liking.
Eight stop
The French inspired restaurant I wrote before this.
Yes in times like this were inflation is high it might be preposterous for everyone what we are doing. BUT if we don't have faith that the economy will be better how will we keep the money circulating? There is joy in tasting every dishes be it for the taste of the memories of a loved one or a partial experience of a prospect travel. From the texture to the taste to its plating every food is an experience of the country where it originates and the place it was served. Our memory of a destination irrefutably is painted always with the food we have bite into. So, if ever you come by Cebu so try their restaurant, cafe shops and even the small eatery. You'd be surprised what every place has to offer
According to my palet - I think this would go great with a Berliner Weisse.
@beercraft I completely agree. Happy New year
