The Dilapidated City. Cooperative St.

The Cooperative Street in Veliky Ustyug starts from the bank of the Sukhona River and passes through the city across, crossing the main streets perpendicularly. Ends in the microdistrict "Fields". The street does not have asphalt covering all over.

On this street there are only a couple of institutions: a medical diagnostic center and an average comprehensive school number 9. Otherwise, the private sector, two-storey wooden "improved" barracks and a couple of brick five-story houses.

As always, I'm interested in what is closest to disappearing. One house, by the way, was demolished earlier this year...now there is a wasteland.

The farther from the city center, the fewer chances that such houses have central heating and running water. Specifically in these houses stove heating, and in the courtyards there are sheds-firewood storages.

Of course, someone can install gas boilers, and in the house conducts water from the well.

But I know for sure that in this house I once had a stove to warm up on New Year's holidays. I with my friends rented an apartment here.

Now it seems that in these houses there is nothing unique and they do not represent any cultural value, but time is running out and the tree is rotting...

This street is also flooded during heavy flooding.

There are even such "pieces of wood" that have never been covered with racks on the outside and have not been painted. And its stand with a bare beam.

But here there are balconies!

And the porch is outward.

There is also such a house, which is often considered by tourists as an old one and photographed. In fact, the same barrack, only beautifully decorated. It stands at the intersection of the streets of Cooperative and Uglovsky.

We will move to the microdistrict "Fields". It's not enough that it will change outwardly. There are also wooden two-story houses here.

This part of the street suffers the most from floods, and hence the foundations of houses here are most weakened.

This house is most different from the others. He has a front door, which is not used.

Yards, like many houses, do not differ much from each other. When entering the courtyard of such a house there is a constant feeling that I have already been here.

Conclusion: if this is your first time in Veliky Ustyug, then you can look at Cooperative Street only if you want to see cozy and colorful courtyards. Here it is more tidy and well-groomed than in the center of the city.
