Obrochnaya. Textures of old wood

In the village of Obrochnaya, for the first time, we could not get through the barrier - the houses were located beyond the Shardenga River, which it was impossible to surmount.

In the beginning of September the river turned out to be just as deep, but through it a bridge was made from slabs for the passage of logging equipment. And here we are at the same abandoned house, but on the other side of the river!

Obrochnaya is located in the Velikoustyugsky district of the Vologda region, a few kilometers from the road Uren-Kotlas. In the picture from the satellite, three houses were visible, but in fact there was only one dilapidated house, the remaining two are ruins.

There is one other village behind this village, but we never found it. Having already looked at the map from the satellite, it turned out that we simply did not reach it.

We began to study in detail the most surviving house in Obrochnaya.

In abandoned houses, I was always attracted to the texture of old wood.

It is hard to imagine how this house looked like being new, with fresh logs.

With all the possibilities of modern technology, we only got to capture this...

And maybe we need to try to leave in the memory freshly built houses, so that the next generation could see them?

Only it becomes a little embarrassing how I imagine that we will leave behind a future generation...tasteless cottages, finished with siding and fenced with a continuous metal profile...or frame apartment buildings ...

Do not stop in development and not build the same houses as a hundred years ago, but you can think of something more beautiful?

Perhaps we are the last who can observe the mass death of villages.
