A Hike in the Tamborine Nationalpark # 2 Knoll Section

in #travelfeed5 years ago (edited)

I almost forgot about the part 2 of our Tamborine Nationalpark visit. After We´ve seen the Curtis Falls and the Cedar Creek and the falls we went on to the Knoll Section

The Knoll Section is home to the Sandy Creek and the Cameron Falls. Unfortunately it was the same like on the walks before...no water. Since there was hardly any rain the days before there was near zero water running down the falls.

Anyway the walk, the scenery and the views were spectacular. Similar to the walk before but still nice.

First Lookout near the car park. Not the best view, but at least the sky was clear.

The Sandy Creek Circuit is about 2.6km long and if you walk slowly it takes around 1hour. The walk is a grade 4 walk which means that a bit of Bushwalking experience is recommended.

The walk itself was beautiful. Lots of gigantic trees and a not so hard path to walk.

On this hike we could see at least a little bit of wildlife. I´m always looking forward to see a big snake or something like that. This time it was only a small lizard, a bird and a blue dragonfly.

Arrived at the Cameron Falls there was absolutely no water running. The good thing was we could to the edge of the falls from where we had a awesome view.

It is so worth to visit the Tamborine Nationalpark but if I would go again I would definitely wait for rain. Since there are so many waterfalls it is definitely recommended to go after some days of heavy rain.
