My brief passage through Oliana

In 2005 I visited Spain with a group of friends when we were returning from postgraduate studies we were doing in France. We arrived in Madrid almost at midnight on April 30 with the intention of making the trip from Madrid to Andorra and then to Barcelona and return again to Madrid.
The next day we set out to get two rental minivans to be able to travel a group of almost 20 people, this was particularly difficult since it was Monday first of May, worker's day and on Tuesday, May 2 is celebrated the day of Madrid, therefore the locals would be free until Thursday as we were told by a local, as they would return very tired from the trip (because they travel by tradition on these dates taking advantage of the holidays and take a day off then), to get the two vehicles we had to use all our persuasion skills at the airport in the city, but in the end we got them.
We take the rest of the day to get to know a bit of the Spanish capital and then rest.
The next day we headed to Andorra, just before entering the town of Oliana I had this wonderful view, today I share it with all of you.
Oliana is a small town located in the Autonomous Community of Catalonia, Province of Lleida, where traditionally they are dedicated to agriculture on this site, mostly growing potatoes taking advantage of the advantage of having the Segre River next door.

En el año 2005 visité España con un grupo de amigos cuando regresábamos de unos estudios de Postgrado que hacíamos en Francia, Llegamos a Madrid casi a media noche del 30 de abril con la intensión de hacer el viaje desde Madrid hasta Andorra para luego pasar por Barcelona y regresar de nuevo a Madrid.
Al siguiente día nos pusimos en la tarea de conseguir dos minivans de alquiler para poder viajar un grupo de casi 20 personas, esto fue particularmente difícil puesto que era lunes primero de mayo, día del trabajador y el martes 2 de mayo se celebra el día de Madrid, por tanto los madrileños estarían libres hasta el día jueves como nos comentó un lugareño, ya que regresarían muy cansados del viaje (porque por tradición viajan en estas fechas aprovechando los días festivos y se toman un día de descanso pues), para conseguir los dos vehículos tuvimos que usar todas nuestras habilidades de persuasión en el aeropuerto de la ciudad, pero al final los conseguimos.
Tomamos el resto del día para conocer un poco de la capital española para luego descansar,
Al otro día tomamos rumbo a Andorra, justo antes de entrar a la población de Oliana tuve esta maravillosa vista, hoy la comparto con todos ustedes.
Oliana es una pequeña localidad ubicada en la Comunidad Autónoma Cataluña, Provincia de Lérida, donde tradicionalmente se dedican a agricultura en este sitio, mayormente al cultivo de patatas aprovechando la ventaja que le da tener al lado el río Segre.
