Spend a day in and around the Old Town Square
It is a place a little magical, as much by its popularity as all these signs, cafes, restaurants that line this place. Highly frequented whatever the time or the weather, this place is a must in Prague. It seems that we must pay attention to pickpockets, indeed there are many people, but we had no problem. This square with its beautiful buildings and beautiful clock is the real center of Prague. From this square you can go in all directions to visit attractions and sights. We also went special to admire the beautiful clock (again). That was disappointing, it is still in restoration and completely shielded. But, for the cozy atmosphere alone, this is a square to come back to. The Old Town Square is very large and surrounded by centuries old architecture. There are an abundance of sidewalk cafes where you can have a beer and sausage and people watch. Dozens of side streets feed into the square and offer a wide variety of shopping. For crystal enthusiasts, there is a Swarovski factory store just a half block off the main square.
What a beautiful square! There are four distinct types of architecture as you look around the cobblestone beautiful Square. The buildings are painted with beautiful colors and artwork. A great place to people watch and spend the afternoon or evening. Recently we visited Prague, and the centre of attraction must start with the "Old Town Square". It is surrounded by the Old Town Hall Tower & Astronomical Clock, Tyn Church and St. Nicholas Church. Best time to take photos would be before 8.00am, as the square comes to life until late evening. There are several restaurants & bars around the square.
What an angle you have captured :O
