On the road to SteemFest 3: Visiting Prague and going to Steemfest

Sunday afternoon, my brother Philippe and myself, we arrived in Prague, the capital city of the Czech Republic.

On Monday morning, we started our visit of the city by a walk along the Vltava river, on our way to the Prague Castle.

We crossed the river through the Charles Bridge (Karlův most).

To cross the bridge we went through Old Town Bridge Tower.

We climbed to the castle.

And we admired the Saint Vitus Cathedral, located inside the castle.

From the castle we had a good view of the city.

We crossed the river through another bridge.

We had lunch in a restaurant and went back to our hotel to rest for the remainder of the day, as we were quite tired from so much walking.

On Tuesday, we took another walk. We visited the Prague Masaryk railway station (Praha Masarykovo nádraží), "a terminal railway station located in the New Town area of Prague, near Republic Square" (Wikipedia).

During our walk, we saw many well preserved old buildings such as this one.

We walked along Wenceslas Square, that is less a square than a boulevard.
Her you can see the Statue of Saint Wenceslas, in front of the Czech National Museum.

We wanted to visit the museum, but there was such a long line that we gave up.

Instead, we went to the more modern building of the museum located next to the old building.

There, we saw an exhibition about the Celts that was quite interesting.

We saw these torcs that @katharsisdrill would appreciate.

Going back to our hotel, we visited Prague main railway station (Praha hlavní nádraží).
